【Property News】Melaka Waterfront Zone M-WEZ

Government announced the complete blueprint of the Melaka Waterfront Zone (M-WEZ) on April 8, 2021. M-WEZ, the five main axes of the plan include the creation of an ecological commercial area and a tourist area in the existing Pulau Melaka area. M-WEZ, a land reclamation project covering an area of 25,000 acres and a total length of 33 kilometers, is expected to be completed in 2035.

This project involves 100 billion ringgits. Once the plan is successfully implemented, it will generate 5 billion ringgits of income every year. The state government’s goal is to create at least 20,000 job opportunities for locals through this plan.
