The following 7 companies have submitted a concept IR (IR=Integrated Resort) plan for the casino project of Yokohama Port (Yamashitafutou, Nakaku) in 2020:

1 Wynn Resorts (US)

2 Galaxy Entertainment (Hong Kong)

3 Genting Singapore (Genting Berhad, Malaysia)

4 SHOTOKU Co., Ltd (SHOTOKU, SRC GROUP, Japan)

5 Sega Sammy Holdings (Japan)

6 Melco Resorts & Entertainment (Hong Kong)

7 Las Vegas Sands (declination)

In May 2021, the City of Yokohama online announcement stating that the following two companies have passed the review:

1 Genting Singapore (Genting Berhad, Malaysia)：

→A group with Sega Sammy Holdings, Kashima Ken and others.

(The team also includes Takenaka Corp, Obayashi Corp, ALSOK.)

2 Melco Resorts & Entertainment (Hong Kong)

→A group with Dacheng Construction.

After that, the Yokohama City Hall Office will select one group from these two groups in the summer of 2021 (July and August) this year.

Genting Berhad (Genting Group) has just opened in Las Vegas’ Genting Casino on 24th JUN 2021. It has a street name, named after the founder of Genting Group:Goh Tong Way, and Genting Boulevard.
