[Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Shopping Malls and Supermarkets]

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has urged parents to avoid bringing babies and young children to crowded shopping areas. He noted that while coronavirus infections are gradually decreasing, the risk remains, and it is essential to stay vigilant for the safety of yourself, your family, and the wider community.

The National Security Council has launched Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for retailers to follow. These include maintaining social distancing, limiting the number of people entering based on the size of the premises, providing temperature checks and hand sanitizers at entry points, requiring staff to wear masks in the workplace, and conducting regular disinfection and cleaning during operating hours. Shopping malls, department stores, supermarkets, clothing stores, convenience stores, and other retail outlets are required to comply with these SOPs. Shoppers are also advised to avoid crowded, confined spaces.

I’ll keep updating this post.

Let’s calmly face COVID-19 together.
