[Pandemic] 35 [Withdrawal fees between different banks will be free until the end of MCO from April 6]

[From April 6, cross-bank withdrawal fees will be waived until the end of MOC]
Last week (April 3), the government announced that withdrawal fees between different banks (e.g., RM1) would be waived until the end of the Movement Control Order (MCO) to minimize people’s movement. As a result, they are urging the public to withdraw cash from the ATM closest to them and to always wash or sanitize their hands after using an ATM.
Additionally, they recommend settling all remittances and payments via online banking. For example, since no one can come to check the electricity meter, the electricity bill from April onwards is initially set to match the amount of the March bill, and payments are made through the power company’s online banking app.
I’ll continue to update this.
Let’s stay calm and tackle the COVID-19 challenge together. In response to the impact of the novel coronavirus, Malaysia announced a “Movement Control Order” from March 18 to March 31, effective from 10:00 PM on March 16 (11:00 PM Japan Standard Time). In simple terms, this means prohibiting entry for those outside the country (foreign nationals) and preventing those inside the country (Malaysian citizens) from leaving (departing abroad).
