[Johor: Two Villages Under Full Lockdown and Quarantine]
From March 27 (Friday), two villages in Johor were placed under a complete lockdown under the [Enhanced Movement Control Order].
Johor has the highest number of coronavirus-related deaths in Malaysia, with a total of six fatalities.
Among them, regarding Kampung Dato’Ibrahim Majid and Bandar Baharu Dato’ Ibrahim Majid in the Simpang Renggam area,
There have been reports that the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) has been implemented.
For these two villages, comprising 650 households and a population of 3,570, authorities plan to conduct checks on all households from March 27 to April 9 in an effort to halt further spread of the virus. Under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), leaving one’s home without permission is prohibited, and non-residents and visitors are not allowed entry. All local commercial activities have been suspended, and residents’ daily meals are provided by the Welfare Department.
