One of its biggest highlights is Makanizm Food Hall, a massive dining space located at the heart of the mall. Covering 40,000 square feet (approximately 3,700 square meters), it will bring together a carefully curated selection of Malaysia’s best local cuisine under one roof.
The mall will also feature many of the city’s most popular cafés and restaurants, including Kenny Hills Cafe, the ever-popular Oriental Kopi, Serai Premium, Dolly Dim Sum, and Cili Kampung. Coffee lovers can also enjoy well-known cafés such as ZUS Coffee and Eight Ounce Coffee, making it an ideal place to relax between shopping and sightseeing.
Next-Generation SOGO118, an Exclusive Matcha Bar, and More Shopping Highlights
One of the biggest shopping highlights is SOGO118, where the well-known department store will debut with a completely refreshed concept. Moving away from its traditional image, SOGO118 is being redesigned with a modern style that appeals to younger shoppers.
The mall will also introduce Malaysia’s first dedicated Matcha Bar, along with a carefully curated selection of beauty and wellness brands from across Asia.
Of course, visitors will also find a wide range of popular fashion and sports brands, including:
- Premium lifestyle and fashion brands such as Coach, Hackett London, and Cole Haan.
- Leading sports brands including Skechers, Decathlon, Asics, and Li-Ning.
- Malaysia’s renowned luxury jeweler, Habib Jewels.
- Everyday shopping at Village Grocer, as well as family-friendly stores such as HappiKiddo and Babyshop.
A Spectacular Event Space Filled with Natural Light from a Giant Glass Dome
On the fourth floor, visitors will find The Atmosphere, a spectacular event space spanning 20,000 square feet (approximately 1,850 square meters).
Above, a stunning glass dome fills the venue with natural light, creating a bright and open atmosphere. Surrounded by massive LED screens, the space is designed to host a wide variety of events, from cutting-edge fashion shows to local festivals, making it one of the mall’s most impressive attractions.
22 Million Visitors Expected in the First Year as Competition Heats Up
Even before its official opening, 118 Mall has already leased more than 70% of its retail space, highlighting the strong interest from retailers. The mall is expected to welcome around 22 million visitors in its first year alone.
More than just a shopping destination, 118 Mall is set to become a new cultural hub that attracts both local residents and visitors from around the world. With its grand opening scheduled for this August, anticipation is already building.
