🚧 August 3 (Sunday): Road Closures in KL Due to “IJM Allianz Duo Highway Challenge” Marathon!

Major Road Closures Scheduled in Kuala Lumpur on August 3 for Marathon Event

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, Kuala Lumpur will host the large-scale marathon event “IJM Allianz Duo Highway Challenge 2025.”

In conjunction with the event, 31 road sections throughout the city, especially along major highways (NPE, BESRAYA), will be temporarily closed in phases. Local residents and travelers are advised to check routes and plan alternative paths in advance.

KL Acting Police Chief, Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad, stated:

“We urge all road users to use alternate routes when traveling through affected areas. Police officers and highway personnel will be stationed to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.”

Citizens are also reminded to review travel plans and follow traffic instructions on the day.

  • Check your destination route ahead of time
  • Travel earlier if possible
  • Consider using public transport Large-scale road closures will take place across the city. Anyone planning to travel in or around KL on August 3 should prepare alternative plans in advance.
