Malaysia boasts numerous mangrove forest reserves, spanning from the Malay Peninsula to the states of Sabah and Sarawak. On the Malay Peninsula alone, mangrove forests stretch from Langkawi and Kedah in the north, through Perak, to Kuala Selangor, Melaka, and Johor in the central and southern regions. Among the many narratives shared during mangrove cruising tours, one common explanation is that these forests serve as a protective barrier against tsunamis, shielding coastal communities from disaster. ■ My thoughts: During cleansing, it has a subtle, pleasant charcoal scent, and the best part is that my skin doesn’t feel tight afterward. It leaves my skin feeling just the way I like, so I use it every day (#^^#). This handmade soap contains coconut oil and olive oil. Although it lathers into a grayish foam, don’t worry—no black particles will stick to your face!
Dryness can lead to dark spots and wrinkles, so I highly recommend a facial soap that doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight. It’s gentle enough for babies, too. Since this soap doesn’t become overly soft even when wet, it lasts quite a long as long as you avoid exposing it to water when not in use.
