Enjoy delicious durian in the heart of Kuala Lumpur at Durian BB Park
Hi there! I’m Aya, a Japanese expat who absolutely adores durian. This time, I’m reporting from Durian BB Park, where you can enjoy the king of fruits!
Durian BB Park is located in Imbi, right in the heart of Bukit Bintang. It’s super easy to pop in on a whim during your travels, so be sure to check it out! (^-^)
The chocolates in the adorable cans have a subtle durian flavor and come individually packaged, making them perfect for distributing as souvenirs back to Japan. They’re sure to spark conversations! You can even ask for samples. (We’ll share more details about these souvenirs at the end of the blog post.)
Durian is a magical fruit that you’ll love more the more you eat! I used to absolutely hate it at first, but I gradually got used to it and now I’m a huge fan (≧◇≦). Many Japanese people like me end up falling in love with durian, so definitely give it a try!

You can eat durian right in the heart of KL!!! There are many types of durian, but the most popular one is Musang King (known as Musang King in Malay)!
Compared to other more affordable durians, this one is rich, creamy, and incredibly delicious! I absolutely love this Shan Mao Wang!
Enjoy durian under this tropical thatched roof! The exotic ambiance is absolutely lovely!! Durian ice cream is also highly recommended and on sale!

To open a durian, you make an incision at the bottom with a knife and then split it open by hand. Because it requires quite a bit of strength and the spikes are sharp, a man usually steps in to crack it open while wearing work gloves.

Most Japanese people are still hesitant about durian, but if you’re trying it for the first time, make sure to start with the fresh Musang King variety. Once you taste this, you’ll definitely fall in love with durian—it’s guaranteed!!! There are many different types of durian, and Musang King is highly recommended for beginners. I really hope more Japanese people discover how delicious durian is!

Itadakimasu!!!
Durian has a strong smell, so when you eat it, you wear gloves like this!

If you’ve enjoyed durian, you can receive complimentary mini towels with cute character designs and mineral water!

You can sample a variety of durians here! The taste varies significantly depending on the type (^_-)-☆

My mom! She tried durian for the first time and said it was delicious! I’m so glad she now has wonderful memories of her trip to Malaysia!

My dad is a huge durian fan, and since my mom tried it for the first time this time and fell in love with it, I’m a fan too. Of course, my Chinese husband’s family loves it just as much, so we’re officially a durian-loving family! (lol)

The back of the container is an air-conditioned VIP room!

My thoughts:
This is the perfect spot to enjoy durian! Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s city center, you can savor a variety of fresh, delicious durians under a traditional atap (palm leaf) roof. Pick your favorite durian and cool down with a refreshing coconut drink—it’s a fantastic way to beat the heat. What a great idea!
They also offer a durian tasting flight as a signature menu item! Be sure to check out the photo above. They also stock a variety of durian ice cream and souvenir snacks. For example, you can find Musang King egg rolls, Musang King puree, Musang King bars, 4-in-1 durian milk tea, 4-in-1 durian coffee, freeze-dried Musang King, Musang King nougat, freeze-dried Musang King bars, durian dodol, Musang King chocolate, Musang King nougat, and Musang King egg rolls.

This is my absolute favorite chocolate with a subtle durian flavor. Each piece is individually wrapped in a bag like this, so it’s a rare and unique souvenir that you can’t find in Japan—definitely grab some!

This Durian Coffee is also one of my top picks!
