Hi there! I’m Aya, a Japanese mom raising kids in Malaysia. I visited a delicious Thai restaurant back in March, and I’m sorry for the late post! Here, I’ll share my recommendations for great Thai food near Kuala Lumpur in Putrajaya.

THE AROI DEE Thai Restaurant is located at the Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort City, which I introduced in my previous post. This hotel is situated in Putrajaya, just south of Kuala Lumpur. It’s about a 30-minute drive from downtown Kuala Lumpur and roughly 35 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The AROI DEE Thai Restaurant used to serve as a dining spot near the golf course. Although the golf course has since moved to a different location, this Thai restaurant remains. The ambiance is incredibly open and airy! Perched on a small hill, it offers beautiful views. You can see the IOI City Mall and the hotel buildings right in front of you. At night, the illumination adds a lovely touch!

We enjoyed delicious dishes, including spicy Tom Yum Goong, various prawn dishes, meat options, and desserts like Mo Mo Cha Cha (which contains taro and other ingredients).

Located in Putrajaya, south of Kuala Lumpur, this spot is highly recommended for both lunch and dinner. Since it’s inside the Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort City, you can make reservations via TABINIKO. If you’re staying at the hotel, be sure to drop by.

The IOI City Mall is directly across the road, so if you’re shopping there, please make sure to enjoy some authentic Thai cuisine as well.
