Hi there! I’m Ayako, a Japanese mom raising her kids in Malaysia. Today, I’m sharing some delicious Japanese restaurants near Kuala Lumpur.

This Japanese restaurant is located at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, right next to the Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort City featured in my previous post. The hotel is situated in Putrajaya, just south of Kuala Lumpur. It’s about a 30-minute drive from central Kuala Lumpur and roughly 35 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The restaurant’s name is Midori (みどり) in Japanese. It offers both counter seating and private rooms. The dishes are meticulously prepared and delicious! There’s a wide variety of options, including tempura and sushi. The sashimi is particularly fresh and beautifully presented. Even the wasabi, shaped like a leaf, is adorable!

Located in Putrajaya, south of Kuala Lumpur, this spot is perfect for both lunch and dinner. You can make reservations through TABINIKO. Since it’s just next door to the Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort City, I highly recommend stopping by if you’re staying there.

Oh, and IOI City Mall is directly across the road! So, if you’re shopping at IOI City Mall, be sure to look for “Midori” inside the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel!
