[Eat Nico] Chinese desert JI MA WU at Pudu

A popular and delicious Chinese dessert shop in PUDU

Diners enjoy a meal at a bustling traditional Malaysian kopitiam with red plastic chairs and festive decorations.

The shop is packed with local charm and stays bustling even late at night. Time for dessert after dinner!

Choose from 10 varieties. I’m absolutely in love with the BLACK SESAME PASTE, so I always end up picking that one (;^ω^)

Black sesame paste: RM3.50 for dine-in, RM4.00 for takeaway (as of February 2018). Super cheap!

The sesame seeds have a toasty aroma and the texture is light and easy to eat, so I end up having two (lol).

Ground in a traditional stone mill—truly authentic. I didn’t realize Malaysia had these kinds of stone mills. They look like they could even be used to grind buckwheat flour.

One-line comment:

This is a delicious Chinese dessert shop located in the Pudu area.

The sign says “No need to pay if it’s not delicious,” but in reality, everyone seems to be paying anyway (lol).

It’s incredibly tasty and one of my favorite spots.

Pudu is a well-established commercial area with a long history, offering plenty of tasty hawker stalls and gourmet options. It’s still a place full of hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
