My comment:

Did you know that the Blue Mosque in Shah Alam is the largest mosque in Malaysia? I think even locals are unaware of this fact. It’s not just the mosque building that’s impressive, but the entire land it occupies—that’s why it feels so BIG. You can even see that some parts of the land are currently closed off.

According to their survey data (January to September 2018), Japanese travelers accounted for more than 76% of the 22,039 visitors! What a surprise! The second-largest group came from China (1,034 visitors), followed by Taiwan (916), Thailand (604), and Malaysia itself (only 554).

A Japanese volunteer, Ms. Ikeda, is on-site every Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Of course, there are other volunteers available to assist if you need a tour explanation.

Please check the visitor hours carefully before planning your trip. Once you enter through the main entrance, head to the left side to find the reception counter. Registration is mandatory, so you won’t be able to visit without it.

I highly recommend visiting this beautiful mosque and learning more about Islamic teachings. I felt I gained a deeper understanding of Islam after the visit and listening to the tour explanation.

After your visit, you can also head to the nearby Plaza Shah Alam for lunch or dinner. Wow, check out my Nasi Lemak from Paparich! It was absolutely yummy!
