Today is the story of ☘️ coriander leaf ☘️.

coriander leaf (Pakchi in Japanese) is a favorite of Malaysians. Chinese Malaysians put a little raw coriander leaf on top of steamed fish, or put a little on top of boiled chicken.

This is dinner for the 2017 New Year’s Eve party. I’m putting a lot of coriander leaf.

I like it a little stir-fried, so when I cook it myself, I fry it quickly at the end.

This is dinner one day, and my husband’s brother’s wife made it for us. Raw coriander leaf after all. Malaysians don’t often eat raw vegetables, Chinese people don’t eat raw vegetables because they’re not last long, or Chinese people think raw vegetable will cool our body. Vegetables that Malaysians eat in raw and cool, are chicken rice with coriander leaf🐔☘️ and cucumber 🥒 that comes with nasi lemak. I can’t think of anything else.

When I first moved to Malaysia, I ate a lot of raw vegetables. When experiencing pregnancy and childbirth, I was told not to let my body cool down with raw vegetables, so I stopped eating raw vegetables.

Local supermarket selling coriander leaf and celery leaves side by side, I couldn’t recognize them at first because they look and have similar names, so I often bought celery by mistake. . . When I asked my husband to buy coriander leaf for me, even though he is Malaysian, he made mistake too😅😅😅 Anyone like us who always made mistake of buying coriander leaf (laughs).

The left is DAUN SUP (in Malay language), is celery. The right is DAUN KETUMBAR (in Malay language) and its coriander leaf. Everyone in Malaysia, please be careful when buying ya. Japan supermarkets always sell celery with thick stems, so you can’t make mistake with coriander leaf.

See you soon~👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
